This Privacy Policy explains how Creative Apps Lab ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the FitAlarm Android app (the "App"), available exclusively on Google Play.
FitAlarm is built to process as little as possible off your device. Your camera feed and body-pose data are analyzed entirely on your phone and are never uploaded anywhere. Your workout history, alarms, and settings are stored locally in the App's private storage.FitAlarm is 100% free to use and is supported by advertisements.
When you're completing an exercise to dismiss an alarm, the App uses your device's camera and Google's on-device MediaPipe pose-detection technology to track your body's position. This processing happens entirely on your device, in memory. Camera frames and pose coordinates are never stored to disk and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. The camera is only active while the fullscreen alarm/exercise screen is on screen.
The App stores the following directly on your device, in its private app storage (not accessible to other apps): your configured alarms, workout completion history, streaks and achievement badges, and your app settings/preferences. This data is not currently encrypted beyond the standard protection Android provides to every app's private storage, and it stays on your device until you delete it (see "Your Choices" below).
With your consent, shown the first time you open the App, we collect anonymous usage and performance data to help us understand how FitAlarm is used and improve it. This may include app-open events, alarm configuration choices (exercise type, target reps, difficulty, schedule), workout outcomes (completed, abandoned, or timed out; duration; reps completed), and streak milestones. This data is never linked to your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information, and never includes camera footage or pose data — camera and pose data remain governed entirely by the section above and never leave your device. We may use a third-party analytics service provider to process this anonymous data on our behalf, solely to help us understand app usage. You can decline this when first prompted, or change your choice at any time in the App's settings.
The App requests the following Android permissions, and only for the stated purpose:
| Permission | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Camera | To detect your body pose and count exercise repetitions. Active only while the fullscreen alarm/exercise screen is showing. |
| Schedule Exact Alarm / Use Exact Alarm | So your alarm rings at exactly the time you set, even in battery-saving modes. |
| Post Notifications | To show the alarm notification and any reminders you've enabled. |
| Use Full Screen Intent | Required on Android 14+ for alarm-category apps to take over the screen when an alarm fires, the same mechanism any alarm clock app uses. |
| Foreground Service / Foreground Service Media Playback | Keeps the alarm sound playing and the app responsive while it's ringing in the background. |
| Wake Lock | Keeps the screen and processor awake long enough to show the alarm and verify your exercise. |
| Receive Boot Completed | So your scheduled alarms are restored automatically after your phone restarts. |
| Vibrate | For the alarm's vibration pattern, if you've enabled it. |
| Disable Keyguard | Lets the alarm and exercise-verification screen display over your lock screen — the same approach standard alarm-clock apps use. |
The App uses third-party advertising SDKs (such as Google AdMob) to serve advertisements. These ad partners may collect standard advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and device parameters to display and personalize ads in accordance with Google Play Developer Policies. No camera data, pose information, or workout history is ever shared with advertising networks.
FitAlarm has no subscriptions, paid tiers, or credit card requirements. All 14 exercises and features are completely free to use for all users.
Locally stored data is used solely to run the App's features for you — showing your workout history, streaks, and stats on your phone.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share camera or pose data with anyone — it never leaves your device. Standard non-sensitive device/advertising identifiers may be processed by reputable advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) solely to deliver advertisements within the app. Anonymous usage/analytics data (see "Analytics and usage data" above) may be processed by a third-party analytics service provider we use, strictly to help us understand app usage — it is never sold, and never includes camera or pose data.
Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it — see Delete Account & Data. Once account sign-in ships, account data will be retained until you request deletion.
FitAlarm is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
You can revoke the App's camera or notification permissions at any time in Android Settings. You can opt out of anonymous analytics collection at any time in the App's settings, or by declining when first prompted. You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage — see Delete Account & Data for step-by-step instructions.
The App relies on Android's standard app-sandboxing to keep its private storage inaccessible to other apps. As noted above, on-device data is not separately encrypted at this time.
We may update this policy as the App changes — for example, when account sign-in and subscriptions launch. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
